I enjoyed this podcasting experience very much. Until yesterday I didn't know what a podcast was and now I seem to be very well addicted to it. It's like listening to the radio except its on demand and what you want to listen to and when you want to listen to it. This method seems somewhat worse than blogs and magazines/newspapers because its harder to find and requires your attention whereas the other things can be read on and off at your leisure.

RSS

RSS technology is useful for tech savvy internet users who enjoy reading blogs and following people on twitter. It seems to me that RSS is essentially a blog twitter for a website. A web based aggregator is much better than desktop software because it combines all the information on a single web page. Internet browsers don't always have to be running and thus use less resources than a desktop gadget. However if you do want to stay up-to-date or have a very fast computer the desktop gadget is definitely the right choice.

There are three ways to add feeds to your reader:
1. Email (entering your email address / google email)
2. Website subscription
3. Browser subscription

Twitter

I've been using twitter to see what other people have been doing for a while now but have never made an account. Twitter is a great tool for giving up-to-date information for people who want to know what you're doing. Especially if you're popular or a celebrity. I personally don't use it but I do check up on certain twitter accounts (namely game developers) to see what they're currently doing and working on.

Evaluating Blogger

My adventure with blogger today has been a fun and hard trip today. Blogger seems like a very easy way to share information about our daily lives and interests with the world. The only problem is finding viewers for your blog and writing up interesting posts. A blog is also a great way to practice our freedom of speech on the neutral internets.
